iconic parkside square trees
My name is Patrick, and I'm a family, newborn, and maternity photographer based here in Parkside.
When I moved to this neighborhood, one of the first things I appreciated about it was this park and it's iconic trees. Over the years I carried my camera on walks with my dog, trips to the playground with my kids, and over to play tennis. I captured these trees with different light, different subjects, in the morning, in the evening, and wanted to share some of them here now that these iconic trees are gone. I always appreciated how they offset the foreground landscape from the hills and houses behind (while looking north east) and how the sun behind them in the afternoon yielded lovely silhouettes. When you combine that with the different color skies, clouds or no clouds, fog or no fog, there was always a nice view to be seen.
Some people might not think of these as iconic, but I sure do. They were a defining feature of our neighborhood in my mind and I'm very sad to see them gone, as necessary as it may have been.
The images are available via my print store if you're interested in a print. Otherwise, I hope you just enjoy them.
